Luay Torky, a visionary in the fast-casual dining industry, holds a degree in Business and Finance from the University of Southern California, graduating in 2001. Five years later, he and his brother Sohail transformed their shared passion into Saal Invest, an investment company dedicated to launching diverse F&B brands. As CEO, Luay has spearheaded Saal Invest’s expansion into an international powerhouse with over 3,500 employees. Under his leadership, the company opened Nubia Lounge, a Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant in Los Angeles, and established over five other F&B brands featuring diverse cuisines. By 2024 and 2025, Luay plans to expand into Saudi Arabia and Iraq. In Egypt, Luay combined his F&B expertise with commercial real estate, opening cloud kitchens and expanding to 10 Pizza Roma stores and 50 Buffalo Burger outlets. His and Sohail’s business acumen earned them Egypt's Entrepreneur Awards in the F&B sector for 2022. Beyond his business success, Luay is a dedicated philanthropist, actively supporting organizations such as the Baheya Foundation, Egyptian Healing Bank, Misr El Khair, Resala Association, and the Egyptian Food Bank. Now, Luay Torky is set to bring his expertise and passion to the Million Pound Menu as an investor, ready to discover and support the next big culinary powerhouse.
